BUTLER — Lagene Caldwell Schwartz, 94, of Butler, Ky passed away on Sunday, December 8th, 2024, at her home. She was born in Butler, KY on June 20, 1930, daughter of the late Melvin Sr. and Jessie Schafer Caldwell.
Lagene is survived by her sons, Terry (Sharon) Schwartz and Dennis (Donna) Schwartz; daughter, Connie Schwartz; brother, Donald Caldwell; sister, Jessie Lou Bobb; grandchildren, Tracie Franzen, Stacie Key, Alisa Bricking, Jason Schwartz and Kellie Trowbridge; great- grandchildren, Erik Cox, Cory, Jordan and Justin Franzen, Kyle and Kiersten Key, Aliza Gaskins, Lexi, Kenedy and Owen Trowbridge, and Asher and Evelyn Schwartz.
In addition to her parents, Lagene was preceded in death by her husband, Harry “Bill” Schwartz; brothers J.W., Melvin Jr., Robert and Wayne Caldwell; sisters Shirley Grizzell and Dorothy Wright; and great-grandchildren Caleb and Hope Schwartz.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home.
Lagene’s final resting place will be in the Butler Cemetery.
