Sybil Jeane Kelley Vice, 83, of Falmouth, KY, formerly of Cynthiana, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the home of her daughter.
Born in Henry County, Kentucky on July 26, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Giles Kelley and Lucy Neville Kelley. She married Calvin F. Vice, and for many years she was a sales representative and administrative manager for H.A. Jones Car Dealership with her late husband, who preceded her on June 24, 2013. As founding members of the Oddville Christian Church in Cynthiana, she and Calvin worked together to further the church’s mission and to support the Harrison County community. A familiar face at Harrison Memorial Hospital for many years, Sybil enjoyed her work as a ward clerk. Sybil loved her pets, bird-watching, as well as vegetable and flower gardening.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter and caregiver Cheri Wright (Teddy) of Falmouth; her three grandchildren: Kelley Jeane Carlisle (Larry), Travis Cason Wright (Samantha) and Bradley Lamar Wright (Rachael); six great-grandchildren: Raegan Christine Carlisle, Cason Lamar Carlisle, Jeffrey Austin Wright, Lucy Gayle Wright, Crosley Lamar Wright, and Ramsey Nicole Wright; her sister Raye Vetta Kelly; her brother Tommy Thomas; and host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband Calvin Vice, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth Kelley and Carroll Kelley, and her beloved Shih Tzu CalviJeane.
Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 17, at the funeral home, with Bro. Wayne Tolson officiating.
Interment will take place in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Pendleton County.
