David John Decker passed September 11, 2024 surrounded by his family. Dave was born at home in Mentor Kentucky 3/14/1943.
He was survived by his wife, Sandra (Clift) and his daughter Sonya Antrobus (Tom). He has two wonderful grandchildren, Jaimie Mann (Eli) and Brandi Gaines and great-grandchildren, Karmyn Gaines and Walker Mann. He was also survived by brothers, Maurice Decker Jr., Tim Decker (Karen); and sisters, Martha Sheffel (Rich) and Joyce Clark (Jeff).
Dave is proceeded in death by his parents, Maurice and Beatrice Decker and sister, Linda Schertler and brothers, Donald Decker (Sandy) and Billie Decker.
David graduated in 1960 from St. Mary High School and he and his wife were married for 60 wonderful years.
David was an avid fisherman and spent many happy hours with his fishing buddies. He was owner/operator of Triple Trucks, Inc. David was a brilliant inventor and visionary who could build and design most anything. He built many of the trucks that ran out of the Butler Quarry. He was a kind-hearted friend to all, that often parked his truck to help a fellow trucker get moving again. He will be truly missed.
Visitation and funeral services were held from on Saturday, September 14 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler.
Interment took place at Morgan Cemetery.
