Sharon Lee Remley, 69, of Butler, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024. She was born in Dayton, KY on April 24, 1955, daughter to the late Johnny L. and Garnet McCarter Heitmeier.
Sharon retired from the IRS as an Investigator. She was owner of “Nothing Like a Sheltie” Facebook group and bred and owned 10 shelties of her own. She also was a Real Estate Agent, hairdresser and drove a bus for Pendleton and Campbell Co. Schools.
Survivors include her children Dale (Jennifer) Straus, David (Tracy) Straus, Danielle Straus, Ashley (Timothy) Schweitzer, Sara (Glen Thaxton) Remley, Lindsey (Erich) Sinclair; brother John Heitmeier; sister Diana Heitmeier; 15 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her son Jake Remley; life partner Roy Roland; and her brother Robert Morgan.
Visitation and funeral services were held on Friday, July 12 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. The funeral service was officiated by Denny Gosney.
Interment took place at Persimmon Grove Cemetery in Alexandria.
