FAITH & VALUES

Blanket Creek

The scripture this week was from Daniel 5, “The Writing on the Wall.” King Belshazzar didn’t know what the writing on the wall meant so he sent for Daniel to interpret it for him instead of asking God for help. Therefore, that evening he passed away. We are like that. Instead of turning to God, we turn to people and it doesn’t always work  out.

Calendar of events: May 27 evening service-Bill Evans will be here to share about his ministry we help support; June 8-Fairhaven Mission; and June 24-28 is our VBS. If anyone needs a ride please call the church at 859-654-5080 leave a message. Someone will return your call.

Have a blessed week!

New Life Wesleyan

God bless you this week.

A quick update from our PCCC annual National Day of Prayer service: Ten churches were represented and several area pastors were there. God blessed us with Bro. Carey McGuire preaching and Rachel Errico singing with Vicki Alford playing. Bro. Adarin Williams sang a special from the piano. Our Co-Op President, Bro. Kyle Marlette always handles each service in a Godly manner and with amazing LOVE.  Our next event will be in July, we pray, at the Griffen Center, with an old fashioned gospel hymn sing.

Have a wonderful week!

"What does God say about judging?" This was our message of the day.  Read Matthew 7 and John 7:24.  Listen to God!  Judging others is up to God, not us.

Mothers Day will find us having a breakfast at church at 9:30 a.m. to honor all our moms.

Bro. Mark’s message was from II Corinthians 6:14-18.

Don’t be yoked to those who do not love the Lord.  What do people of God have in common with people of sin?  Nothing!  How does light live with darkness? It doesn’t!  What harmony is there between Christ and the devil?  None!  You are God's temple, and he has said of you, I will live and walk among you.  I will be your God and you shall be my people.  Separate yourselves from filthy things and I will welcome you, and be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters.

If God ever knocks on your heart, it’s time to accept him into your life.  You will be adopted by the blood of Jesus.

I hope everyone had a blessed worship time on Sunday! I honestly feel that way each time I attend church, but some services just speak louder.

Kim and Andrea placed the medals on Perry Gregg and Presley Platt for winning at State Bible Drill on Saturday. We are so proud of all their hard work.

The children’s message, The Rainbow Promise, was from Genesis 9:8-17. It was a lesson about the covenant God made with all living creatures, never again end all life on earth with a flood.

We kicked off our Baby Bottle Campaign for CareNet and New Hope Centers; this will run from Mother’s Day through Father’s Day. This will enable resources to be available to provide life saving services to couples facing unplanned pregnancies. Pick up a bottle at church and help out!

Jon Duncan read James 3:7-10 and the Praise team had special music, followed by Bro. Dale’s message, God’s Desire For Us from James 1:21-27. His desire is for us to be saved, to be doers, to control our tongue, visit the needy and most important to be pure.
