Wednesday’s meeting of the Pendleton County Republican Party was crashed by some 30 members of the community who had never attended or had minimally attended their meetings, committee treasurer Josh Plummer said. The chaos resulted in walkouts, chaotic yelling and election of recently impeached Falmouth Mayor Sebastian Ernst as president of the organization, he said.
This act followed the earlier resignation of Chair Rick Brown. His resignation has not yet been accepted by the committee, according to Plummer.
Plummer said the group entered and disrupted the meeting early.
“They were so un-orderly,” Plummer said, “it wasn’t even funny.”
He described intimidating behavior from the group, saying one member told Vice Chair “Curtis Orme over and over and over that no one wanted him for chair and they would keep coming back month after month and make his life miserable over and over and over, and he had no support, trying to. . .
