Dorothy A. “Dottie” Alsip, 80, of Butler, KY passed away, Jan. 20, 2024, at her home.
Dottie was born in Detroit, Michigan on Apr. 6, 1943, the daughter of the late Fred and Mae Warron Medlock.
Dottie worked at Wyatts Super Value in Falmouth for 25 years as well as Tackett Grocery. Dottie loved spending time with her family and was a proud Pendleton County Band booster.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Cecil Alsip; daughter Joy Alsip; sisters Connie Kay Medlock, Maudetta Grubb; brothers James Fred Medlock, Don Leslie Medlock, and Dennis Ray Medlock.
Dottie is survived by her son Marty (Vicki) Alsip; daughter Cindy (John) Miller; sisters Karen Lynn Medlock, Nella Mae Sears, Brenda Fay Grisham; brother Charles Michael Medlock; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan.27, at the Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral services will follow immediately at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
