Greetings friends, a new year is under way; may your walk with your Saviour be closer this new year!

There are no coincidences or accidents in Gods planning. Everything He does is perfect! Pastor Ron explained this fact to us on Sunday.

The next pot luck meal and board meeting will be held on Sunday, January 7.

Please pray with us for Steele, Mark and Nancy, Paula, Curtis, Garnet, Mary Ann, Rachel, Mike, Barry, Blevins family, Patti and Bobby Jenkins, Brad, Sandy, Ralph and Alex. Praise for Ross and Anna!

May God Bless You in a mighty way!

We pray all had an enjoyable Christmas, and are looking forward to the new year. The message of the morning was the Christmas story, reminding us of the many "gifts" it brings. Remember the Good News is that a Savior is born!

Beginning in January, our 20/20 group will be meeting on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

January 14 finds Timmy and Michael Cummins and Lisa Leap leading our Worship service that day.  They will be bringing us a morning of music and devotion. Come join us.  (We'll have a pot-luck that day, too.)

Prayer concerns include Melva Moore, Tirah Clemons, Bro. John Byard, Randy Bishop, Bobby Simpson, Robbie House, Lily McCann, Dakota Rice, Karen Browning, Lisa Houchen, Rick Halcomb, Jean Chambers, Jim McCann, Mary Ann Shields, Donnie Wolfe, Gerald Barlow, Tommy Cummins, Troy Greene, Julie Sandy, Rick Adams, shut-ins, our military and our nation.

Our sympathy to loved ones of James Morton, Jane Turner, and Connie Workman Hannah.

Bro. Mark’s message was from Luke 1.

Every promise from God shall surely come true.

Gabriel appeared to Mary and said congratulations, favored lady. The Lord is with you! God had decided to wonderfully bless you. Very soon you will have a baby boy and you will name him Jesus.  He shall be very great and shall be called Son of God.

Aren’t you glad we have a savior? Jesus is the greatest free gift given. It’s your own choice to accept that gift and be a part of eternal life.

Have a blessed New Year!

Turner Ridge

We were truly blessed during the month of December! Families in the church lit an advent candle each Sunday leading up to the lighting of the Christ candle during our Christmas Eve service.

On the evening of December 10th, we had Christmas on the Ridge, and all that wanted presented specials during that service, following we had refreshments. Then on the evening of December 17th, the children presented their Christmas play! We had a large crowd and everyone cherished the performance, we also enjoyed refreshments that evening.

On December 24th we enjoyed our morning worship service, then met at 5:30 pm for our Christmas Eve service. “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

Join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. for Sunday school, 11 a.m. for worship, 6 p.m. for Discipleship Training, Bible drill for grades 1-6 and Youth, 6:45 p.m. for worship, and on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. for Prayer/Bible Study and mission groups for kids.
