Butler Christ Community

Greetings friends; as you rush through this busy season, please don’t forget the reason we celebrate this holiday!

The first Advent candle was lit by Jim and Carol. Advent is under way and the beautiful decorations in the church reflects the season.

Isaiah pleaded with God to come down so that the people would know that it was Him. So God sent His son, not in a loud and boisterous way, but humbly and quietly. God is seeking a personal relationship with you, let Him into your heart.

The women’s bible study is continuing even though we’ve had some sick folks.

Christmas Eve service will be held at the church at 5 p.m. All are invited to attend.

We have lots of folks on our sick list, please pray for all of them.

As we continue through Advent, keep Christ at the focal point of your celebration. Bless you all!

The morning message reminded us that with peace, we are made for better days.  God's peace causes us to experience peace with creation, with man, and of course, with God.

December 3rd we had the lighting of the Hope Advent candle by the Helton family. It was a wonderful start to the Christmas season. We also started the Week of Prayer for International Missions, Bro. Dale shared the importance of praying for these missionaries each day this week and that by doing so we were a small part in those they were leading to know Christ. As well, it was the first Sunday we received the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. We have a tradition of the offering being laid in a manger and then prayed over. It is an amazing sight to watch everyone, especially the children bring their offering and place in the manger.

The message Hope For Mankind from Titus told of Our Hope of Eternal Life. “In hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,” Titus 1:2.

Join us for worship and find a reason for Hope, where you can hear about Jesus and the hope we can have in the glory of heaven.
