Trish Niehaus shared on Facebook that she "snuck out to see the eclipse." She captured this shot as she did.
The "ring of fire" total eclipse was visible in a swath ranging from Oregon to the Western part of Texas, but the rest of the country got to see at least a partial eclipse. The event was noticeable as the sky darkened enough to draw attention.
Missed it? The next total eclipse is only a few months away as another will take place April 8 of next year.
Niehaus was sure to point out she took the photo with a Samsung phone while using safe eclipse glasses.
