Hauntings and Hayrides
• Saturday, October 28, 3-7 p.m. Pendleton County Youth Fairgrounds. Trinity Southern Baptist Church will host this free family event. Food, carnival games, a petting zoo, hayrides, arts and crafts, and other activities will be featured. All are invited. Call 859-654-2681 for more information.
• Saturday, October 21, 4-9 p.m. Butler Christian, 111 High Street, Butler. Second Annual Boo Bash. We will be having music, food, games, inflatables, pumpkin paintings and more. Make sure to invite your friends and family and enjoy this spook-tacular evening with us! Everything is free.
• Wednesday, October 25, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Southern Hope Church of Christ. Dragon's Lair Trunk or Treat. Event is indoors and is open to kids of all ages.
• Friday, October 27, 5-7 p.m., Senior Center Parking Lot. Please come and join us for a Trunk or Treat in the Senior Center Parking Lot. We will have a trunk decoration contest as well. If you are interested in a spot, please RSVP to Kristy either through a message or phone call to 859-951-1035. Spots are limited, so please call ASAP to ensure your spot.

October Events
• Friday, October 6 through Sunday, October 8, 10 a.m. through 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. on Sunday. Kentucky Wool Festival.
• Monday, October 9, PCPL will return to drive-thru/delivery service until further notice (approximately until February 2024). One-on-one services such as tech assist and passports will be available in the library lobby, and children's programming will be held in areas TBA.
• Saturday, October 21, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. City of Butler Community-Wide Yard Sale. For questions, contact the City of Butler at 859.472.5015.
• Saturday, October 21, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Story Walk--We're Going on a Goon Hunt, Pendleton County Fair Grounds. Come dressed as your best goon!

• October 19 - 21 at 7 p.m. Short Creek Revival and Homecoming. Short Creek Baptist Church, 6212 Highway 22 W, Falmouth, KY 41040, October 22 at 11 a.m., A meal will follow the Sunday Morning service. Speaker: Abram Crozier will be our speaker. We will also be celebrating our 190th anniversary on October 22, and we invite all current and former members to attend a Homecoming.

November Events
• Saturday, November 4, Partners of Kincaid Lake State Park's Annual Chili Supper. Put the annual Partners of Kincaid annual chili supper on the calendar. A meal for $7/adult and $3/children 10 & under will consist of chili or soup, a sandwich, a dessert, and a drink. Bring the family for an evening of food, fun, fellowship, and door prizes. The event will be held at the Multi-Purpose Building at Kincaid Lake State Park from 4:30-9 p.m.
• Friday, November 10, at 6 p.m., Pendleton County Schools to honor veterans. Pendleton County Schools will be hosting a meal for Pendleton County veterans on Friday, November 10, at 6 p.m. in the Pendleton County High School Gymnasium. Each veteran will be able to register him/her self and one guest. To RSVP, please contact Barb Brown at the Board of Education office at 859-654-6911. Deadline to RSVP is Monday, October 23. Also, if you or a loved one is a veteran and graduate of Pendleton County Schools and would like to be added to the Veteran Perpetual Plaques that are displayed in the PHS auditorium lobby, please send the Veteran’s full name, year of graduation, name of the Pendleton County School that they graduated from, branch of service, and years served to LCDR CJ Warren, at Pendleton County High School by calling 859-654-3355 or emailing at clinton.warren@pendleton.kyschools.us. Deadline for submission of names for the perpetual plaque is Monday, October 23.

Calendar staples
• New Life Wesleyan Church, 420 Monument Street, Falmouth, serves a free breakfast each Sunday morning from 8:15-9:45 a.m.
• Free day at Rumpke Landfill takes place the second Saturday of each month 7-11 a.m.
• Commodities distributed the second Monday of the month at 200 West Shelby Street, Falmouth from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. These commodities are different than other food distributions held in the county, and you may participate if you are involved with other distributions in the county. Please bring your own bags or boxes.
• Republican Party meets every third Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Falmouth City Hall.
• PC Mobile Food Pantry’s Food for Friends. Third Thursday from 2-4 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall, Bring ID identifying your residence in the county.
• Pendleton County Historical and Genealogical Society meets every third Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Historical Society, the Fryer House, in Butler.

• Every Monday and Tuesday, hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Each Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., Bible study and supper. (Study begins at 7 p.m.)
• Second and fourth Wednesday of each month starting at approximately 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until produce is gone.) This distribution focuses on fresh produce AND MORE. Food pantry and clothes shopping available.
