Harrison Memorial Hospital opens behavioral health clinic in Falmouth

Harrison Memorial Hospital Primary Care in Falmouth held a ribbon-cutting Wednesday, August 30, to officially welcome HMH Behavioral Health services into the city.

Dr. Stephen Toadvine, HMH CEO, explained to the listening crowd that the hospital and its primary care facility was working to meet the need of mental health in the area, and he also credited R. C .Durr Foundation, who contributed to the project, for aiding in that goal.

Jean Mize arrived from Kenton County to represent the R. C. Durr Foundation. She talked about the late founder’s love for people, and how Pendleton County was demonstrating that love for reaching out to help people with mental health concerns.

Janelle Gardner-Cox spoke for the board, saying she is excited to offer the services to the county, and she is excited to be on the HMH Board that helped bring the clinic into fruition. “Lots of folks can use this support,” she commented.

Dr. Toadvine proudly pointed to Melissa Slade, Rural Care Manager who is in charge of the Pendleton County office, to ask how the survey had gone for the new clinic, and she smiled broadly when she answered, “100 percent!” He continued by explaining the clinic has met elevated standards required for this type of service, including procedures, policies and staff.

The clinic is located at 1102 West Shelby

Street, Falmouth, next to TotalCare Pharmacy.
