Marjorie Turner Godman, 99

Marjorie Turner Godman, 99, died Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Robertson Co. Healthcare.

She was born in Claysville, KY on October 4, 1923 to the late Nimrod Andrew and Maude Taylor Turner. She was a member of Brooksville Christian Church, was named a Kentucky Colonel, and was a retired LPN from Harrison Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her children, Charles “Chuck” (Debbie) Godman of Brooksville, KY and Janet (Gerald) Fields of Falmouth, KY; and daughter-in-law Donna Godman of Cynthiana, KY.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Laura (Dave) Schneider, Amy (Darin) Poe, Joey (Marsha) Godman, Bryan (Baranda) Godman, and Derrick Godman; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Zane, Jaclyn and Kortney, Cole and Izzy, Claire and Owen, and Liam.

She is also survived by her siblings Norma Jean Marsh, Carroll (Georgia) Turner, Charlotte (Jim) Fulmer.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Kenneth Godman, her son, William Keith “Billy” Godman, and grandson, Kenneth Ashley Jones; and siblings, Lowell Turner, Anna Ruth Penrod, and Carl Turner.

Visitation and funeral services were held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Brooksville Christian Church.

Interment took place at Bracken Memorial Cemetery.
