Rickey Nelson Purcell, 64, of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at his home.
He was born in Maysville, KY on August 8, 1958, son of the late Eddie and Roy Johnson. Rickey was retired from the Campbell County Road Department and served 10 years as the Union President. He was a junk yard man and loved hunting and fishing. Rickey was a man of faith and loved his family dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Shane Purcell and brothers Dean Purcell and Gene Johnson.
Survivors include his wife Joanna Parrett Purcell; sons Travis (Sarah) Purcell and Jason Purcell; daughter Marissa (Edward) Sparks; brothers Bill Johnson, Ed Purcell, Darrell Purcell, and Eddie Johnson; sisters Anita Altman, Darlene Walton, and Mary Lou Caldwell; and eight grandchildren.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date.
