Gary Rice, 71, of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
He was born in Hyden, KY on August 13, 1951, son of the late Carl and Dora Begley Rice. Gary was a United States Army Veteran, a retired conductor at L&N Railroad and a loving member of AA.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter Stella Rice; sisters Celia Rice, Vonnie Herringer, and Cindy LeMaster; and brothers A.C. and Leon Rice.
Survivors include his sons Gary (Maria) Rice II, Alan (Mary) Rice, Jeremy (Krysti) Rice; daughter Alma (Junior) Monyei; brothers Donald, Preston, Johnny, and Kenny Rice; sisters Sandy Ashworth, Sharon Kurtz, and Jeannie Hubbard; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m., also at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Gardnersville Cemetery under full military honors.
