Donald Robert Seibert, 88, of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at his home. Born on Jan. 24, 1934 in Newport, KY, he was the son of the late Henry P. Seibert and Gertrude Lampe Seibert, and the step-son of the late Alma Kroger-Seibert. On Nov. 13, 1954, he married Carla Mae Gillen Seibert, and his dear wife of 54 years preceded him in death on May 8, 2009. They were blessed with 6 children, and their daughter, Donna Seibert-Stacy preceded him in death on Feb. 23, 2015. For 46 years Don worked as a warehouse manager for International Paper. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, where he took part in church activities as long as his health would allow. Don was always doing good deeds for others. In the aftermath of the Flood of 1997, he worked tirelessly to help in the recovery efforts. Don made the most of every day, and each day he sang his favorite Christmas carol, “Silent Night.”
Surviving to cherish his memory are his five children: Kathy Kohrs (John) of Alexandria, KY, Robert Seibert (Monica) of Newport, KY, Jeff Seibert (Sandy) of Independence, KY, Mary Works (David) of Owenton, KY, and Alma Maloney (Larry) of Falmouth, KY; 24 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; his sister, Gertrude Smith of Morningview, KY; his sister-in-law, Pam Seibert of Alexandria, KY; his brother-in-law, Tommy Gillen of Erlanger, KY; and a host of extended family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, at St. Francis Xavier Church, 202 Second Street, Falmouth, KY 41040, with Fr. Britton Hennessey officiating. The visitation will be from 10-12pm on Wednesday preceding his funeral mass at the church. Interment will take place in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Falmouth. Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Xavier Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
