Wilma Jean Williams, 84, of Falmouth, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Bracken Post-Acute & Rehabilitation Center in Augusta, where she had resided for several years.
Born on October 4, 1938 in Bracken County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Alvah F. and Louella Johnson Moorhead. On October 1, 1955, she married Herman H. Williams at the home of Rev. William Lenox, and her dear husband of 52 years preceded her in death on December 12, 2007. They were blessed with three daughters and a world of extended family and friends with whom they made many wonderful memories. Wilma worked at the former Dr. Scholl’s Shoe Factory, Red River, and at Pittsfield in the production room. She was a member of the Falmouth Christian Church. Faith and music were at the heart of the Williams family. Wilma always enjoyed listening to country and gospel music, especially when her Herman was playing the fiddle. As a family, Herman and Wilma enjoyed fishing with their girls, taking their grill, and feasting on their catch for the day. For as long as she could, Wilma looked forward to spending time with her family and friends at the Pendleton County Senior Citizen Center.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert “Bobby” Moorhead and Ronnie Moorhead; and one sister, Minnie Stewart.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her three daughters: Jeanie W. Trapp, Janice Ann Godman (Mark), and Susan Marie Pugh (Kenneth L.), all of Falmouth, KY; four grandchildren: Stephanie Jo Trapp, Shannon Pugh, Samantha Godman Vaughn (James), and Lindsay Godman Rodriguez (Tony); six great-grandchildren: Megan Ciara Trapp Hopkins, Marissa Lynn Trapp Deglow, Chelsea Brianna Trapp, Dakota Robert Wayne Trapp, Penny Ann Vaughn, and Sawyer Mack Vaughn; eight great great-grandchildren: Lydia Cheyenne, Leia Rhianna, Hunter Ray, Zayden, Josie Lynn, Xander, Remington, and Gavin; her brother, Thomas Franklin Moorhead (Patsy) of Germantown, KY; her sister, Bertha Ann Jones (Gary) of Brooksville, KY; and a host of extended family and friends.
