Betty Crofford Wilson, 89, of Berry, KY, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the River Valley Nursing Home in Butler.
Born on August 30, 1932, in Pendleton County, she was the daughter of the late James and Daisy Barnes Crofford. On October 13, 1951, she married Roy Leland Wilson, and her dear husband of 63 years preceded her in death on April 8, 2015. A 1950 graduate of Morgan High School, Betty worked in Cincinnati, before returning to Pendleton County, where she worked on the farm, right alongside her husband and children. Betty’s kind heart will be remembered by all who knew her. She devoted her life to caring for her family.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by three sons: Danny Wilson on February 18, 1953, Rodney Lee Wilson on June 14, 2007, and Michael Scott Wilson on May 21, 2017; two grandchildren: Joshua Wilson Browning on June 19, 2009, and James Christopher Wilson on December 25, 2012; and two brothers: Roy and Paul.
She is survived by two daughters: Pat Browning of Berry and Nancy Crotty of Falmouth, five sons: Jim Wilson and Joe Wilson, both of Berry, Rick Wilson of Falmouth, Bill Wilson of Berry, and David Wilson of Falmouth; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, is caring for the family.
