Jones and Dodgers surge into second place

As the temperatures are the country continue to rise, so does the winning ways of the Los Angeles Dodgers with local product Nate Jones.
Now sitting the second place in the NL West, the Dodgers have enjoyed some big outbursts on offense recently and are showing why they were picked by many to repeat as World Series champions this year.
Jones appeared on the mound versus the club he began the 2021 season with, the Atlanta Braves on June 6. He entered with one out and runners on first and second base and was able to avoid trouble as he retired the batter’s he faced via pop out and strikeout. The Dodgers would lose the game to Atlanta 4-2.
On June 8, Jones entered the bottom of the ninth inning with his club leading the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-1. Jones ran into trouble during this outing as he gave up a pair of solo home runs in facing four hitters overall. However, Los Angeles held onto win 5-3.
Jones and his Dodgers now turn their attention to a home series with the Philadelphia Phillies before traveling to face their division rival Arizona Diamondbacks.
