A mom made the frantic call to 911 on Friday, May 28 that her son was in a camper with his girlfriend, the door was locked and they were not answering. There was blood everywhere.
Troopers and Detectives responded to the area and located Dillon K. Carpenter (28), of Demossville, and Madison J. Klups (24), of Springboro, Ohio, fatally wounded by gunfire.
Carpenter was a graduate of Pendleton County High School while Klups had attended Pendleton County Schools, but her family had moved to Springboro, Ohio. According to KSP, that is the location she was living.
The investigation is active and ongoing, according to Sergeant Jim Phelps of the Kentucky State Police. There were no updates on the case after the initial release of information.
The Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by the Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office and the Pendleton County Coroner.
