Steven Eric Hartzel, 57, of Butler, KY, passed away on Monday, December 7th, 2020 at Mercy Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. He was born on May 6, 1963 in Cincinnati, OH, to Ronald Albert and Margie Jane Adkins Hartzel. On April 5, 1986, he married Michele Clark Hartzel, and his dear wife survives his passing.
Steven was an active member and deacon at Grassy Creek Christian Church, as well as a Sunday School teacher and youth leader. He was a 4-H Leader, a member of the Grassy Creek ATV Club, and a Boy Scout Leader for Troop #399 of Cincinnati OH. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Along with this beloved wife of 34 years, surviving are his children Steven Tyler(Jennifer) Hartzel of Falmouth, Jacob Andrew(Amanda) Hartzel of Flemingsburg, and Evan Paul(Bethany) Hartzel of Butler; grandchildren Steven Lane Hartzel, Elsie Marie Hartzel, and expecting grandchild #3 in June of 2021. Also surviving his passing are siblings Michael Wayne Hartzel of Foster and Melanie Lynn Hartzel, also of Foster, and in-laws Paul and Genell Wermuth.
A private family funeral service was held on Friday, December 11, at Grassy Creek Christian Church.
Interment took place in Peach Grove Cemetery.
