As Pendleton County Wildcats were battling the Dayton Greendevils on the gridiron, Pendleton County law enforcement was involved in a high speed pursuit of Harry Wigglesworth who had three felony warrants.
Reaching speeds of allegedly 120 MPH, Wigglesworth was charged with Wanton Endangerment first degree on a police officer as well as a litany of charges.
“He almosty hit (Butler Chief of Police) Kenny Hale head-on coming out of BB’s as well as almost hitting Pendleton County Schools SRO David Jones and Wayne Hal,” said Pendleton County Sheriff Eddie Quinn.
According to Quinn, Wigglesworth got a three quarter mile lead on him but Quinn was able to catch up as Wigglesworth’s vehicle slowed down going up 177 hill. He pulled into a residence on 467 and bailed on foot.
Wigglesworth was bound over in District Court on Tuesday facing the following charges: Reckless driving; Operating on suspended/revoked operators license; Wanton Endangerment First Degree Police Officer four counts.
He is housed in Campbell County Detention Center on other charges. They are: TBUT or Disp Auto $10,000 or more but $1,000,000; TBUT or DISP All others $500 or more but under $10,000; Failure to Appear (OOSRL, OH, FTPIC); Parole Violation; Operating on Susp or Revoked Operating License; Driving without Licensing/Negligence in Accident; Leaving Scene of Accident/Failure to Render Aid or Assistance.
