Firefighters battle home fire

Falmouth Fire Department and Northern Pendleton Fire Department responded to a home fire at the beginning of Shelby Street Saturday morning.

    A Falmouth family started their Saturday off in one of the worse situations as they saw their home at the beginning of Shelby Street and belongings destroyed by fire.

    Falmouth Fire Department and Northern Pendleton Fire Department spent most of the morning battling the flames and after unsuccessfully being able to extinguish the flames by fighting it from the inside, deployed their water cannon. It rains down over 1,000 gallons of water per minute onto a fire.

    Falmouth Police Department, Pendleton County Ambulance, Falmouth Maintenance and Red Cross responded to provide assistance.
