25 Years Ago -July 1, 1998   When the call of a pickup truck rolling into Kincaid Lake with passengers possibly being trapped within came in to Pendleton County dispatcher Julie Patrick at 6:40 p.m.

25 Years Ago -June 24, 1998 It's been almost 15 months since flood waters destroyed many residents' homes in Pendleton County. On June 17, Bill and Michelle Singleton, of Butler, signed the necessary papers to receive their buyout funds on their two-story home that is located on Mill Street.

25 Years Ago -June 17, 1998 Pendleton County Dispatch received a call from Matt Dean of the Coast Guard at 12:01 p.m., June 15, that a 14'-16' pleasure craft had capsized on the Ohio River near Foster Dam. At that time, the boat was at the 439.6 river marker and drifting toward Pendleton County.

25 Years Ago - May 5, 1998 A fourplex is being built by the Falmouth Housing Authority on recently purchased land beside Bonar Village. Ms. Lisa Greene, the director of the housing authority, says the preliminary work on the land necessary for building the units has been completed.
