Conservation District cover crop cost-share program

    The Pendleton County Conservation District is sponsoring a local cost share program for Pendleton County Landowners, to help with the cost of cover crop rye and wheat cover crop seed.     It’s time to think about cover crops! In recent years there has been a decline in the use of cover crops.

QRT showing continued success

    The local QRT (Quick-Responce Team) that was launched in Pendleton County last year to help combat the fight against drugs while providing help for users has seen continued positive results this year.

County to help fund fire department

    The Pendleton County Fiscal Court took steps to financially support the Falmouth Fire Department on a more concrete method of financing at their Tuesday, September 22 regular meeting.     In the past, Falmouth Fire Department would bill the court per run that was made in the county.

    On some anniversaries we celebrate.  On others we reflect.     The 19th Anniversary of the attack on America and New York’s World Trade Center is one of the times for reflection.  There is truly nothing to celebrate in the extraordinary tragedy of 9/11.

Pendleton County becomes a red county

    Red, black and white have adorned the gym at Pendleton County High School since the early 1960s, but the county politically has been a blue county. Not University of Kentucky blue, although that claim could be made, too, but rather the blue of the Democrat Party.
