By Nila Harris The Butler Fireworks held on July 3, 2023, was a well-attended event that hot summer evening. Becki Gruener, assistant Butler city clerk explained how the city was able to pull off this fun, family-oriented event.

David Marquardt Day set as an annual event by Falmouth mayor

By Carolyn Reid Mayor Sebastian Ernst called a ceremony Wednesday, July 5, at the Falmouth Fire Station in order to honor the late David Marquardt by declaring his birthday, July 26, as David Marquardt Day. The day is to be an annual event, according to the proclamation.

Nashville comes to Pendleton Outdoor Palooza

On July 15, Nashville recording artists Kaitlyn Baker and Joe Lasher will take the stage at the Griffin Center closing out the Pendleton Outdoor Palooza (POP). This duo will perform original songs as well as country hits you know and love. The show starts at 7 p.m. Gates will open at 6 p.m.

Kincaid Lake 65th Birthday Celebration

Kincaid Lake 65th Year Celebration Sunday, Kincaid Lake State Park held a celebration commemorating its 65th birthday. The open house hosted many former board members, employees, and others who have enjoyed the park regularly through the years.

Licking River Clean-up #3

Contributed by Barth Johnson For three years in a row, a group of volunteers floated down the Main Licking River from Falmouth to Kincaid Creek, clearing up the river. As was expected, the 12 canoes were full by the end of the trip.
