Butler Christ Community

Greetings friends, may you feel the blessings of God in your life!

The Butler Community VBS was quite a success! Many thanks to all who participated and made it an experience that the kiddos will long remember.

While Ron was away in Tennessee we were so pleased to have Amanda Bruin fill in for him. Thank you so much , Amanda.

We are anticipating with excitement the Presentation of Scholarships on July 21. Following the presentation during the morning service we will honor our graduates with a dinner. Our annual Christmas auction proceeds makes this event possible.

Please pray with us for those traveling, those facing surgery or awaiting test results, those involved in accidents, those who are lost and seeking a way, those frightened, and those who need the Lord--that’s all of us!

May God Bless You all this week and bring you to church on Sunday.

Mt. Gilead

Services are held on the third Sunday of the month. The next service will be on July 21st at 2 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to the little church on the hill.

God bless you and keep you in His Hands. We celebrated Father's Day with many dads in service and each received grilling spices to take home.

Coming up June 30th is our 5th Sunday dinner. Then, at 6 p.m. July 21st is the Pendleton Co. Co-op of Churches' old fashioned gospel hymn singing at the Fairgrounds. Everyone is welcome!

Please come and worship with us.

We pray all our fathers had a special day last Lord's Day.  We thank the "Reachin' Out" class for a special program honoring our dads.

The message of the hour was "The Way of the Father".  Key themes were that we should encourage our fathers in their direction, discipline, and in their devotion to God and family.  A father's role is to follow and live by Jesus' example..

Youth Sunday is June 30.  That afternoon our youth plan to do a service project in Falmouth.

Prayer concerns include Bobby Johnson, Sharon King, Jeanine Cox, Linda Johnson, Cheri Figgins, Janice Wolfe, Jim McCann, Shirley Harp, Patty Jenkins, Brandon Taylor, Dan Turner, Jay Caldwell, Ruth Ann Cummins, Diane Moorhead, Ricky Gillespie, Edwin Powell, cancer/covid issues, our shut-ins, and our nation and its military.

Our sympathy to loved ones of Janet Sharp and Kate Helton.

Sunday Bro. Dale recognized the fathers in the service and the children’s message was “Father’s Day” from Proverbs 4:1. Broderick Beighle brought special music as a surprise to his dad for Father’s Day!

Callie Seedle read 2 Peter 3:17-18 followed by Bro. Dale’s message. His message involved a report back from our VBS. The scripture, Acts 14:26-28 was the foundation of the message. Bro. Dale shared that we live on a mission field right here in Pendleton Co. We had a great bible school, with a lot of kids, some attend church  and some don’t. It is our responsibility to disciple all, “but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18. VBS gives us a chance to introduce Jesus to those who don’t know Him and to disciple those that do!
