Butler Christ Community
Greetings friends: The Advent season has arrived and we look forward to celebrating our Saviors birth!
Pastor Ron reminded us of an important fact, whoever is not for Christ is against Christ. We are to search the scriptures daily, not like a buffet to pick what you want to hear, but listen what the entire Bible says in truth.
We are so pleased to welcome James and Darlene to our church membership. We look forward to having you with us each Sunday.
The children’s Christmas play will be December 3rd; hope you can join us to hear what Christmas is in a child’s eyes.
On December 2nd, the ladies will have their Christmas party at the Campbell's home.
Please pray for those on our prayer list, especially Kaye, the Bruin family, the Williams family, Mike, Judy, Crystal, Rachel, Mary’s hubby, Dustin, Dorothy, and all those we love and care for.
God bless you all.

Bro. Mark’s message was from Leviticus 23:4.
Call to remember. Holy festivals are to be observed each year. The Passover of the Lord, The Festival of Unleavened Bread, The Festival of First Fruits, The Festival of Pentecost, The Festival of Trumpets, The Day of Atonement, The Festival of Tabernacles. Moses announced these annual festivals of the Lord to the people of Israel.
As we go through Thanksgiving week, remember what God has done for you. We live in the land of the free. He works in our life to make us a better Christian.

Many churches around our area had the same lesson in Sunday school last week, Is Hell Real? The lesson was based from scripture in 2 Thessalonians. Paul’s words for unbelievers, when Christ returns, judgment will be handed out to those who reject Christ and choose not to obey the gospel. They will be out of God’s presence for eternity-the worst possible judgment anyone could be given. “They will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the Lord’s presence and from his glorious strength” 2 Thessalonians 1:9.
In our worship service the Praise team’s songs were about gratitude and the blood of Jesus, both the children’s message and Bro. Dale’s sermon focused on giving thanks. But most importantly, the Bible tells us, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
We will have times of suffering, but we can handle more than we think with God.
