Butler Christ Community
Greetings friends, the Lenten season is upon us. Are you preparing your hearts and minds for Jesus? Begin with our Ash Wednesday service here at 7 p.m.
Pastor Ron spoke to us from Psalms 147:1-11 on Sunday. He challenged us to read our bibles actively, putting ourself into the scripture and to make it personal. Read it aloud and ask the Holy Spirit what He is saying to you through the verses you read. Sing the verses (even if you sound like Barney Fife!) Give God the adoration He deserves.
Please pray with us for Debbie (praise the Lord her test was negative), Betty, Mark and Samantha, Curt, Judy, Patti, Ty, Dorothy, Butch, Allison, Barry, Dustin, Rick, Bobby, Mike Wright, Nikki, and our church.
Have a blessed week!

Valentines Day: love, hearts, candy, flowers, going out to eat. All good, but our God is even better. His heart is full of compassion, LOVE, and mercy! He is our best friend, our Lord, our Savior. And best of all, He loves us with His unconditional LOVE, but we have to choose to allow Him to be all of that and so much more. Happy Valentines Day, all month!

There is such a thing as "unconditional love." Just remember the story of the Prodigal Son. God is love, and He welcomes "home" all that have gone astray.

Bro. Mark’s message was from Luke 8:43-48.
A lady spent 12 years fighting an illness. She wanted to be healed. She came up behind Jesus and touched the edge of his robe and the bleeding stopped. Jesus asked, who touched me? Peter said, Master, so many are crowding against you. No, I felt the healing power go out of me. The woman realized Jesus knew. She began to tremble and told why she had touched him. I am now well. Jesus said, your faith has healed you.
Do we want to go to Jesus and ask for healing? Do I really believe Jesus can fix things I have going on in my life or do I have doubts. How is your faith?

We pray for all in the area that are dealing with sickness. Our numbers were a little down due to illness; we pray everyone is on the road to recovery.
If you don’t attend Sunday school, please try and attend, we have some of the best conversations over the bible study and I always take something new from class – a perspective I hadn’t noticed on my own.
The children’s message Yes, You Can was from Jeremiah 1:4-10. In this passage, Jeremiah thought he was too young to do what God had laid before him, but God was with him. God is with us, He has a purpose for us and we need to have faith and find His purpose in our lives.
Robin Koettell gave a testimony on how blessed she has been with the time spent mentoring with Callie Seedle. Callie jumps in and helps wherever needed, but especially with the little ones. God has a purpose for everyone. Callie read scripture, II Timothy 1:5-7, followed by Bro. Dale’s message, Making Disciples that Make Disciples. It was a blessed day in God’s house.
