Wyatt’s family mourns loss

FALMOUTH — Lifelong Pendleton Countian Foster Thornberry, who worked at Wyatt’s Supermarket for 39 years, passed away Feb. 10 at age 59.

Dixie Owen, the owner of the family supermarket, wrote the following tribute for Thornberry:

“Today, our Wyatt’s family lost someone very dear to us. It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our longtime employee Foster Thornberry.

“Foster was a valued part of our team for many years. He was more than a coworker; he was a friend, a familiar face to our customers, and someone who helped make Wyatt’s feel like home.

“We are grateful for the years we had with him and will remember his kindness, dedication and presence in our store.

“Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time.

“Foster will be deeply missed.”
