Kentucky State Police investigate Boo Singleton’s death as possible drowning

BUTLER – The Kentucky State Police Post 6 Dry Ridge Post is conducting a death investigation into a possible drowning near Butler in Pendleton County.

KSP Post 6 received a call Monday afternoon of a possible drowning from a citizen who reported seeing a body in floodwaters wearing a life jacket.

The Pendleton County Search and Rescue Team responded and recovered the body of Robert E. “Boo” Singleton, age 66, of Butler.

The investigation remains ongoing by KSP Post 6.

The Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by the Pendleton County Search and Rescue Team, the Pendleton County Coroner and the Pendleton County Sheriff's Office.

Singleton was an active member of the Butler Lions Club, among other community involvement.
