Verst selected as 2025 "Miss 10th Region"

Pendleton County's Madison Verst has been selected as the 10thRegion.com "Miss 10th Region" award. She becomes the second annual recipient of this honor.

This award goes to a graduating senior who excels in multiple sports. Verst competed as a three-sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball for the Ladycats.

Verst led the volleyball team with 735 digs and 54 aces, while adding 66 kills. The Pendleton County volleyball team won 22 games this past season, brought home their first district championship in 12 years, and notched the program's first-ever victory in the 10th Region Tournament.

On the basketball court, she averaged seven points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

And on the softball diamond, she led the Ladycats with 46 hits and a .489 batting average. She collected seven doubles, hit three home runs, and drove in in 32 runs.

Verst is the daughter of Matt and Haley Verst of Butler. Her future plans include attending Cincinnati State college and majoring in Sonography.
