Dear Editor:
My name is Joyce Carson, and I am running for a second term on Falmouth City Council. I’m a lifelong resident of Pendleton County and have a vested interest in helping our community since all my family lives here.
Falmouth is the hub of our county, and I want it to be a welcoming city. We’re currently looking to update our nuisance code to help us clean up the rubbish and rundown areas in our town. Sidewalks and streets are being assessed to be safely updated. We’re seeking developers on the Klee property to help increase our tax base. I would like to continue working on these projects and other projects not so visible. Tough and unpopular decisions must be made in order to improve our city and provide services to the citizens. I will work to continue to be a good steward of taxpayers’ money and look at all sides of an issue. I am a concerned citizen who wants what is best for ALL the residents of Falmouth. I humbly ask for your vote on November 3.
We can’t go back to Falmouth’s glory days, but we can go FORWARD to Brighter Future!
