109 Board Meeting
Tuesday, September 7
There will be a 109 Board Meeting at 7 p.m. on September 7 at the Pendleton County Road Department, 103 Hwy. 330. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
Project Graduation Meeting
Tuesday, September 7
An organizational meeting for Project Graduation 2011 will be held September 7, 2010 in the Pendleton High School Media Center at 7 p.m.

Colemire benefit dinner-auction
Saturday, September 11
There will be a benefit pot-luck dinner from 3-8 p.m. and an auction at 7 p.m. September 11 at the Pendleton County Sportsman’s Club.
Proceeds from this benefit are going to pay hospital and burial expenses for Charlie Colemire.
Bring a covered dish and the meals are free and bring your own non-alcoholic beverages. There are family oriented activities planned such as cornhole, horseshoes, etc., and adults and children are welcome.

Hunting and fishing day
Saturday, September 11
The New Hope Church of Christ will host on its second "Hunting and Fishing Day" from from 10 a.m - 4 p.m. on September 11.
There will be archery, turtle races, casting contests, and a BB gun range for kids. There will be information from the National Wild Turkey Federation. Other groups will be there with information on trapping and primitive living and camping, and there will also be free deer antler scoring. There are plans to have the Homeland Security boat and a canine unit that day.
Hot dogs, soft drinks and door prizes will be available throughout the day. Everything is totally free.

St. X Country Kitchen to serve All You Can Eat Buffet
Sunday, September 12
Please join St. Francis Xavier Church from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Sunday, September 12 for an All You Can Eat Buffet. The buffet will feature bacon, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, has browns, biscuits, sausage gravy, pancake bar, and waffle bar with choice of beverage included.
This breakfast is hosted by St. X Country Kitchen and all proceeds benefit the St. Francis Xavier parish.
Three Rivers fall classes to begin
Monday, September 13
Three Rivers District Health Department will offer the following classes for this fall.
The Cooper/Clayton Method to stop smoking will be held on Monday evenings from 7 till 8 p.m. at the Pendleton County Health Center beginning September 13. This is a free class, however students are expected to purchase nicotine replacement patches or use other forms of nicotine replacement products. To enroll in the class, contact Jim Thaxton at 859-654-6985.
Body Recall Classes will begin at the Pendleton County Extension Office every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. till noon on August 23. This 10 week class will help students improve muscle tone, increase flexibility, and help with balance. The cost is $1 for all 30 classes. Open enrollment at the class August 23, 25, and 27.
Zumba Fitness: Come join the party and have fun burning calories losing pounds and inches while increasing the oxygen flow to the brain and learning new Latin dances, too. Zumba fitness is a form of interval exercise that is sweeping the nation. Classes start at 5:20 p.m. every Thursday evening at Falmouth City Hall with the Zumba Fitness beginning promptly at 5:45-6:45. The cost is $1/class pay at the door. Bring a water bottle and a towel.
Zumba Gold: A bit easier than Zumba Fitness with the same music just toned down some for people who want to ease into aerobic exercise. These classes will be offered at the Extension Service from 5:30 -6:30 p.m. on Monday evenings beginning September 13. Cost is $1/class pay at the door. Water bottle and towel recommended.
Cycle Sundays: Champions for a Drug Free Pendleton County is offering guided bicycle tours every Sunday (weather permitting). Tours begin at Camp Northward. Multiple speed bikes are available. To reserve a bike call Jim Thaxton at 654-6985 ext. 114 or Peter Newberry 513-608-4312. Plan on arriving between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Rides last about an hour but can be extended depending on participant interest.
4-H Livestock meeting to begin new year

If you are interested in showing a market animal at next year’s fair, now is the time to start planning.
The first livestock meeting will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, September 16. This meeting will take place at the Pendleton County High School in room 722 (FFA Room).
Please plan to attend this meeting to get all of your information for the upcoming year to include future meeting dates, rules and general information.
Benefit motorcycle ride in memory of Tina Slater
Saturday, September 18
A benefit ride has been planned in loving memory of Tina Rae Slater by the Trikes Unlimited Chapter of Falmouth for Saturday, September 18.
Tina unexpectedly passed away May 18, 2010 and all proceeds from this bike ride will go to help pay expenses for the funeral and her headstone.
There is a $10 per bike registration fee beginning at 11 a.m. at Green Acres Tavern and will the ride will depart from there at noon.
Ride locations are from Green Acres to Ivy’s, Joe’s, Fat Boys, Hardy Mart and then returning to Green Acres.
Rain date has been set for September 25. The Trikes Un-limited Chapter will not be responsible for accidents or stolen items.
Party in the Park planned
Saturday, September 18
The Falmouth Festival Committee is hosting a “Party in the Park” at 5 p.m. September 18 at the Veterans Park on Woodson Road. Activities will be karaoke, pie in a politicians face, and food.
The committee encourages any politician to set up a table. Any vendor that would like to set up please call 859-609-9639. There will be no charge for vendors or booths just a donation. Please keep an eye out for further information and other activities in The Falmouth Outlook.
This is a family oriented event, so bring your chairs and your happy faces and come and join in for a community family event.

Oakland to participate in National Back to Church
Sunday, September 19
Oakland Christian Church is participating in Back to Church Sunday, a national movement of churches to encourage formerly churched people to rediscover church and try it again. Accord-ing to LifeWay Research, 38 percent of people are receptive or highly receptive to attending church. 82 percent say they would be open to attending church if a friend invited them. But, unfortunately only 21 percent of active church-going Christians invited someone to church last year! Oakland is joining thousands of churches to help change those statistics by inviting everyone to attend church on National Back to Church Sunday, September 19.
Oakland invites former church attendees to rediscover church on Back to Church Sunday. There will be worships services at 8:30 a.m. and 10:35 a.m on September 19. Yoga class to begin
Tuesday, September 21
Yoga Class will be offered at St Frances Xavier Catholic Church in Falmouth by Instruc-tor is Ed Salerno.
The class will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 21. A schedule of classes will be provided at registration preceding the first class. You will need a yoga mat. (Wal-Mart sells them). You will also need a thick bath towel that we roll/fold up to make a meditation cushion. You should wear loose fitting, comfortable, modest clothes. Class will be about one hour. A donation of $5 per class is requested.
Instruction and practice will include: postures, breathing, meditation and information about diet and holistic health. Some guest speakers will be part of the program. If you have questions call 859-654-6480.
109 Board fall cleanup
Friday, September 24 - Sunday, November 7
Fall will be here before you know it. Get your non-profit group together and make some easy money by participating in the litter pickup program. Pendleton County 109 Board will pay your group $100 per mile and all supplies will be furnished.
This year the fall cleanup will begin September 24 and run through November 7. Registration will begin from 6-8 p.m. on September 21 in the Solid Waste Coordinators Office, 103 Hwy. 330. Signups are in person only.

Annual Farm Bureau Meeting
Saturday, September 25
The annual meeting of Pendleton County Farm Bureau will be held in the Farm Bureau Meeting Room, 400 Main Street, on Saturday evening, September 25, 2010. The meeting will begin with a pot-luck dinner at 6:30 p.m. Each family is to bring a covered dish filled with your favorite recipe. Farm Bureau will provide meat, bread, drinks, and table service. Following the dinner, there will be a brief business meeting, including election of officers and directors for the coming year. There will be a drawing for the door prizes following the meeting. We hope all Farm Bureau members will mark this date on their calendars and make plans to attend.
